Pageant Glam

I'm Back! I know it has been over a year that I went MIA, but life gets in the way and I realized that regardless of what happens there is a reason why I started this, and should continue to give it some lovin'! With that being said, I have been freelancing for makeup since 2014, and I had a great opportunity to work for a Latina pageant named Miss Latina International. I want to thank one of the pageant girls for referring me and this was one night to remember.

Below are two beauties I took photos of. The makeup was basically the same for all girls because we wanted to keep a uniform look and we knew one way or another it would look different once they had their hair and beautiful dresses on!

Products used:
Face: Kat Von D foundation, Mac Prolongwear Concealer, Mac Studio Fix & Prep and Prime Translucent Powder to set.

Contour & Highlight: Mac Blunt Blush, Mac Cheeky Bronze, Mac Style Blush.

Same Look on a Darker Complexion:

Eyes: Mac Painterly (Base) Shadows: Naked 1 Palette & Lorac Pro Palette 1: Smog (lid), Naked & Buck (crease), Espresso (outer corner), Virgin (brow bone & inner corner). Liner: Stila Liquid Liner & Mac Powerpoint Pencil: Engraved.

Eyebrows: Mac Dipdown

Lashes: Red Cherry # 20

Lips: Mac Soar Lip Liner & Angel/ Please Me - Alternate: Buxom Au Naturel

Pearly Whites!

Before: 2010 After: 2011 to Present!
Teeth whitening has been an obsession of mine since mid 2010! I feel a smile is a very important asset in every individual and great to show! I use the 3d Crest White Strips: Professional Effects :)

They include 20 strips for top and bottom and you wear them for a maximum of 30 minutes each day, so basically one pair of strips for 20 days! The price for the box may vary per store but it ranges from $40 to $50. Crest offers more intense whitening which I have also tested, but feel these are my best fit. Remember results may vary per person and it worked for me but it may not work for everyone the same way. I did experience some sensitivity, but it was not unbearable. I do this process every 4 to 6 months for maintenance. Personally this product changed my smile appearance in a positive way and I hope it can work for you as well! Do not forget to smile, you never know who may fall in love with it ;-)!

Favorite Lashes & Dupe!

Lashes are a definite must when I get either my make-up done or another person's. One of my go to lashes are by the company of House of Lashes! The one's shown above are the Noir Fairy in Black. The company has a good variety ranging from subtle to more dramatic ones. These in particular are retailed for $16, but trust me they are worth every single penny! They are cruelty-free and made from 100% synthetic hair, as their site states. The quality is superb and can used for more than 5 times if you take very good care of them. The lashes can be bought alone as a pair, or if you would like to have a few more back-ups, they have a three pack deal which retails for $44. There is free shipping for orders over $25, now that's a deal! If interested the website is http://www.houseoflashes.com/, soon I will post a make-up look with them on!

Now some may find them a bit on the high-end road of lashes and may want a dupable pair. I think I found them! A few weeks ago I stumbled upon another lash site, LadyMoss, that sells a variety of brands and lashes. Miss Adoro recently released the #423 lashes and when I purchased them I told myself "They look like the Noir Fairy Lashes!" The pair alone costs $3.99 and also offer a three pack for $10! The company site offers free shipping for orders of $30 or more if interested in buying from other brands as well :). The site if interested is http://www.ladymoss.com/. They are very similar in style and texture and may also worn multiple times. I personally think it is a very good dupe and hope you all found this helpful!

Disclaimer: The lashes were bought with my own money. These are my honest and personal opinions.
